OEA Board President
Bernadine has been with OEA since its beginning having held the role of Chair of the OEA
Employer Council from 2008-2010 and since then as President of the OEA Board of Directors.
As President of the OEA Board of Directors, Bernadine works with other employers and employer associations to advocate for improvements to the workers’ compensation system for the benefit of all Nova Scotia employers and employees.
Bernadine has practiced labour and employment law for 15 years. In that capacity she has acted as Chief Negotiator in collective bargaining, and provides legal advice, assistance, and work shop training on employment issues, collective agreements, occupational health and safety issues, human rights, workers’ compensation, and workplace policies and procedures. Bernadine also has experience in human resource management, policy development, and implementation of legislative and corporate change.
