OEA Board Director
Tina is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce (double major in Finance and Human Resource Management). Tina joined the Marid team in 1993. Knowledge of the industry and the company has allowed her to evolve her role from entry level to becoming the President & COO.
As the industry started to rebound, so too did Tina’s responsibilities as the Chief Accountant. In an effort to better understand the financial end of the company, in 2000, Tina completed the Certified Management Accountant program and received her designation (CMA). This designation also had a hand in leading the way for becoming Comptroller of the company in 2002.
As one of the senior managers, Tina was asked to be part of and facilitate the Succession plan in 2007, thus moving into the position of President & COO. This has given her an opportunity to attain skills to lead, mentor and run the operations of the organization. Tina has sat on many boards such as YPO (Young President’s Org.), is a director for the Nova Scotia Construction Labour Relations Association, she is a trustee for the Ironworkers Local 752 and is a director for Steel Plus (a steel purchasing group). This involvement has helped her to be a familiar face in the construction industry.
Being a part of Marid Industries Limited for twenty plus years, she continues to represent the founding philosophy of integrity, respect and trust.
