This three and a half hour Level 1 course assists you to navigate the obligations under the Workers' Compensation legislation. The session will provide an overview of the Workers' Compensation Act and review the rights, roles and responsibilities of the workplace parties with regards to the Workers' Compensation legislation.
This course is aimed at Employers with entry to mid-level knowledge and experience of the Workers' Compensation system and can also serve as a refresher especially before taking OEA NS Navigating Workers' Compensation (Level 2) Session.
The Navigating Workers' Compensation Courses serve as foundational courses for all Employers registered with Workers' Compensation and will provide insight into everything from understanding rate assessments, properly filing an injury report, objecting to claim and handling more complex workers' compensation issues that may come up.
