February Heritage Day Holiday
Monday February 20, 2017 is Nova Scotia's Heritage Day holiday. This year we honor Viola Desmond. Ms. Desmond was an African Nova Scotian woman who was arrested when she refused to leave a "whites-only" section of a movie theatre.
Nova Scotia's Heritage Day holiday falls on the third Monday of February each year to celebrate our collective cultural history and contributions of Nova Scotians.
The Employer Advisor Nova Scotia is here to assist Nova Scotia employers and employer associations. We are a not for profit society, providing Nova Scotia employers advocacy for key issues. Beginning in January 2017 our programs and services will be offered as Core or Core Plus.
Core programs and services will be offered through our partnership with WCB NS. Core Plus programs and services will continue to be offered by OEA NS Society. Call us for more information.
