When celebrating within the workplace, an employer’s health and safety responsibilities are vast. This lively session examines how to plan and manage events responsibly, including respectful conduct and harassment prevention, impairment issues, safe transportation, accessibility, cultural and religious inclusion, venue safety, and incident response. Through realistic scenarios and applied discussion, participants will learn how to assess event-related risks, establish clear expectations, prepare leaders to intervene appropriately, respond to concerns, and create celebrations that are welcoming, enjoyable, and safe for everyone.
