Employer Advisor Nova Scotia Society (OEA NS) Board Opportunity: Contribute to Business & Employment in Nova Scotia

If you’re passionate about shaping business and employment policy in Nova Scotia, and have business, financial, employment, or legislative experience, and are familiar with WCB/OHS/Labour and Employment practices, we want to hear from you!

OEA NS is seeking new members to join its Industry Representative Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for governance, providing strategic leadership, partnerships, funding and guiding the organization's policy direction of navigating employers to business success.

Experience:

  • Business and/or financial acumen, policy direction, and governance experience.
  • Strategic planning, budgeting, and providing financial guidance.
  • Experience reading financial reports and advising on financial direction is an asset.
  • A strong interest to support business and employers in Nova Scotia.

  • Board members must be nominated by and represent an industry sector or association.

The Office of the Employer Advisor Nova Scotia (OEA NS) is a non-profit organization established in 2008 to assist Nova Scotia employers with navigating the complex landscape of workplace safety, insurance systems (WSIS), and other employment-related matters. We provide confidential support, advocacy, and advice on areas such as Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) issues, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), disability management, and employment legislation.
