A Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee (JOHSC) is an important resource for both employers and employees and is most effective when committee members understand their roles, responsibilities, and legal requirements. This in-depth and process/tools-focused session explores committee structure, workplace inspections, hazard identification, recommendations, meetings, documentation, and communication. Through exercises, examples, and shared discussion, participants will learn how the workplace parties can work together to build an active, credible committee that supports employer compliance and a strong workplace health and safety culture.
