For employers who are new to the workers’ compensation system (or needing a review), this fundamental session explains key concepts, terminology, processes, and employer responsibilities in clear, practical language. Participants will learn an overview of WCB’s structure and relevant legislation, the broader Workplace Safety and Insurance System (WSIS), accident/injury reporting obligations, employer rights and responsibilities, claim management, recordkeeping, and return-to-work responsibilities. Realistic examples and opportunities for answered questions will support employers in understanding workplace health and safety matters and navigating the WCB system with confidence.
